Very often, the people who inspire us most are not the people who are unafraid, but who feel fear and do it anyway. It's very easy to go through this world feeling lost, like there's something wrong with you, or that things never quite work out the way you want them too. It's easy to beat yourself up over what you haven't done. But have you also considered that your life--with all its challenges and struggles and accomplishments--has inspired countless others? That your story may seem crazy and convoluted to you, but is salvation and succor to someone else? That someone at this very moment may be alive and kicking because of you? That you yourself have felt fear and still did it anyway? Have you considered becoming your own inspiration instead of your own competition?
When I asked Ashley Berry to be a part of this project, my two questions were: What would you do if you could offer yourself some help or advice? How would you practice self care if you could truly give it to yourself? Thank you so much Ashley for shining so brightly and moving me to tears with your answers.
